He has played a major role in some of the most important political events in recent years, including serving as the lead impeachment manager during the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.

Before becoming a Congressman, Raskin was a professor of constitutional law at American University for over 25 years, where he taught students about the foundations of our government. He has been a strong advocate for issues like environmental protection, equality, and voting rights, and has worked hard to ensure that the voices of his constituents are heard. His personal story of resilience and advocacy, especially after the loss of his son Tommy, has inspired many people across the country.
